Per Stake’s help center, entering a valid promo/affiliate code unlocks the welcome offer, which is rakeback at 3.5% of the house edge on every bet — credited win or lose. Two operational details from the same source:

• The code must be entered within 24 hours of creating your account (after that, live chat is your only route, at Stake’s discretion).
• Stake’s promotions page describes the welcome offer simply as a bonus redeemed “using the offer code provided by our affiliates” — the code is attribution, and every valid code unlocks the same thing.

Note the base: 3.5% of the house edge, not of your wager. On Stake Originals with a published ~1% edge (our house-edge table has the per-game numbers), that’s roughly 0.035% of turnover. It genuinely lowers your effective cost of play — permanently, on every bet — and it will never make a negative-expectation game positive. The nuance worth keeping: deposit-match campaigns are real things Stake runs — regional and time-limited, via dedicated registration landing pages. If one applies to you, it appears in your account’s Bonuses tab with its actual terms. And those terms matter: per Stake’s official documentation, rollover applies to deposit + bonus combined (their worked example: 30x on $100 + $100 = $6,000 wagered), and withdrawal of those funds is blocked until the requirement is met or the funds are exhausted. A large share of “Stake bonus code” content — especially on YouTube and US-facing sites — is about Stake.us, a sweepstakes product using Gold Coins and Stake Cash under US sweepstakes law. The honest bottom line
