What this means for a player in Alberta

Since 13 July 2026 every operator offering online gambling to Albertans must be registered with AGLC and have a commercial agreement with AiGC. NorthStar Bets has neither, and its sites (northstarbets.ca) are not on AiGC’s list. On an unlisted site none of Alberta’s player protections apply: no Centralized Self-Exclusion, no AGLC dispute process, and none of the province’s rules on fair games, data security or paying out.

Check it yourself

1. Open AiGC’s Registered iGaming Sites and look for NorthStar Bets. If it is there, use the link on the card.
2. Open AGLC’s gaming registrants list and search for the company.
3. Or paste the address you were given into our Alberta checker.
